On March 3, 2022, a series of Russian aerial assaults targeted Chernihiv, a northeastern Ukrainian city situated close to the borders of Russia and Belarus. The devastating airstrike struck a residential area within the city, resulting in the tragic loss of at least 47 civilian lives and leaving over 100 people homeless.
The Reckoning Project interviews survivors of the airstrike to piece together the events of their lives before and after the attack. Their testimonies tell the story behind the tragic day.
