Through the voices of three Ukrainian women from different occupied regions, the article explores the psychological toll of living under Russian rule. They speak of fear, silence, and the erasure of identity, and how conforming became a survival mechanism. One was jailed, another lost her job, and the third suppressed her identity to protect her child. Their stories reflect widespread repression and the enduring hope of reclaiming agency and voice.
