President Zelenskyy Awards Order of Merit to The Reckoning Project Co-Founder Nataliya Gumenyuk
The Reckoning Project congratulates its co-founder, Nataliya Gumenyuk, on being awarded the Order of Merit, III Class by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in recognition of her contributions to journalism and her work documenting Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
One of Ukraine's highest state honors, the Order of Merit is awarded to individuals whose service has made an exceptional contribution to the country. In announcing the award, the Office of the President highlighted Nataliya’s role in co-founding The Reckoning Project and recognized the organization's efforts to document war crimes and preserve evidence supporting international accountability efforts.
"Nataliya has devoted her career to documenting the realities of war with rigor and integrity." said CEO Janine di Giovanni. "We are delighted to see her work recognized at the highest level and extend our warmest congratulations on this well-deserved honor."
In addition to co-founding TRP, Nataliya serves as CEO of the Public Interest Journalism Lab and is one of Ukraine's most respected journalists and media leaders. The Reckoning Project celebrates this recognition of Nataliya's leadership and her enduring commitment to journalism, accountability, and justice.
