TRP hosts timely discussion on the escalating crisis in Sudan and the fight for justice amid ongoing conflict

Join The Reckoning Project on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:45 AM EST, for a timely discussion on the crisis in Sudan and the urgent fight against impunity for atrocity crimes. This webinar will examine the current situation in Sudan, where escalating violence and widespread abuses continue to unfold amid a near-total collapse of accountability mechanisms.

The discussion will be moderated by TRP Executive Director and CEO Janine di Giovanni, joined by Quscondy Abdulshafi, a leading Darfuri human rights advocate, Mutasim A. Ali, Legal Advisor at the Raoul Wallenberg Center for Human Rights, and Jehanne Henry, TRP's Sudan Director. Together, they will reflect on the challenges and responsibilities of documenting atrocities amid conflict and discuss how local investigations can inform global mechanisms for justice and accountability.

We will also share updates on TRP's work in Sudan, where we are training Sudanese researchers and working with trusted local partners to collect survivor testimonies that will support future legal processes and inform media projects designed to preserve memory, elevate survivor voices, and sustain international attention on Sudan.

This webinar builds on the discussions from our recent Yale symposium, How to Catch a War Criminal in the 21st Century, and continues TRP's mission to bridge documentation, law, and advocacy in the pursuit of justice. Registration is open to the public.
