A Year-End Message from The Reckoning Project

Dear all,

As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect with gratitude on what your support has made possible during a year of profound uncertainty for human rights and accountability efforts.

The Reckoning Project has continued to document atrocity crimes to legal standards and advance work that closes the gap between atrocity and accountability. At the same time, TRP has not only accelerated its work, but expanded its mandate to Sudan and Gaza—contexts where accountability has remained elusive and where investigative support is urgently needed.

Alongside this expansion, we have deepened our work institutionally. In 2025, TRP strengthened its investigative capacity through the development of dedicated Investigative and Research Units, allowing us to better corroborate, analyze, and maximize the impact of the testimonies we collect.

Looking ahead to 2026, our goals are clear: to sustain high-quality field documentation; to deepen the integration of investigative, research, advocacy, and legal work; and to to hold perpetrators accountable and disrupt cycles of impunity.
